Ready & Waiting!
And her she is!!
Boasting a 6'7 headroom The Mighty Oak is a spacious boat and feels huge inside! Her two bathrooms allow for a more relaxed cruise, no waiting for your crew members to clear the bathroom! Kitted out to ensure she has that 'home from home' feel Acorn is so popular. She really is a fabulous boat and lacks none of the comforts you'd expect from her!
So below we have her in build and above starting her journey with Drifting Wood. We are thrilled with how well she has been received by her guests and know that she's going to be a busy lass, just like her sister, Acorn!

This being our fifth season the decision was made to get a second boat, of course there is a theme here ... from little Acorn's ... And as there are no plans to have a third boat The Mighty Oak will be the last addition. Again this is by choice as we love what we do and I want to keep it as such, we are not on a mission to get as large as possible, we are on a mission to make your holiday the best it can be ... that's the drive and that's our goal!
The image is from the builders, JD Narrowboats, and this was pretty much where The Mighty Oak was up to, on our last visit the hull and cabin are all but finished and then it's on to the fit out.
We are aiming to start taking bookings for her from June 1st 2023.
She will sleep six, two singles at the stern, bathroom, fixed double berth, bathroom, galley and dinette area. Her layout will be fashioned around that of Acorn as we have found that this is one of the features people love, a sociable area with space to move around freely. So although we can't as yet put any image up of her we will be following the build and adding updates on News.
We have also put in place a 6'5" headroom to give that little extra head clearance, along with a 650 Litre Water tank and a waste tank of over 500 Litres
